Growth versus decay

Growth in understanding is not a means to an end but an end in and of itself and  should not be sought to facilitate manipulation of a physical universe which is finite and designed to decay. All movement in time and space is the movement of decay and time is correctly defined as the measure of entropy. The universe had a beginning in time and will come to an ending in time, but consciousness of the absolute is, necessarily, infinite and eternal and is not subject to the law of physical entropy. It is transcendent to the limitations of a rational interpretation of physical phenomena.
